The Palace of Time is a story quest for A Rift in Time expansion pass added with Act III: Treasures of Time. The quest will require players to step inside Jafar’s Palace to stop him once and for all. This guide will walk you through the Palace of Time quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete The Palace of Time Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Starting the Quest

The Palace of Time quest becomes available once players have completed the Mysterious Mickey and all parts of the ‘Use Your Imagination’ quests. Doing so will remove the time rift in front of the secret entrance to Jafar’s Palace in the Promenade and initiate the Palace of Time quest.

Once the quest is started, interact with the Cellar Door in the Promenade area to enter Jafar’s Palace.

Find a way to get across the chasm

Upon entering the palace through the cellar door, you will see a broken bridge ahead. To get across, interact with the big hourglass to change the time which will fix the bridge.

Find a way to get through the door

After crossing the chasm, you will come across a blocked door. Go over to the big hourglass on the right side and interact with it to change the time again which will remove the blue mist in the doorway.

Find a way to deactivate the door

Upon crossing through the first doorway, you will reach a room with another locked door and a reflector in the middle. If you look at the reflector, it won’t be reflecting the sunlight, and if you look at the pattern on the floor, the middle platform won’t be connected to the rest of them.

Firstly, interact with the hourglass in the room to change the time, then move the platform on the floor to connect it with the battery and the reflector. Now, go to the back of the reflector and move it twice. Once done, interact with the hourglass again to change the time and the door will be unlocked.

After unlocking the door, continue ahead to find another blocked door. This time, just use the nearby hourglass to change the time and go through the door. Doing so will bring you to the hallway of Jafar’s Palace.

Explore the Palace to Find the Key that unlocks the gate

Jafar will be in the Throne Room but he has it locked, requiring you to find a key.

NOTE: At this time, the quest log will update and automatically begin Jafar’s Laboratory quest.

Go up the staircase on the left side and follow the path until you reach a room with a locked door, a reflector, and a Raven on top of the staircase. Speak to the Raven to learn that he is hungry and if you look at the book on the table on the right side of the Raven, it will highlight that the Raven only likes dishes with fresh vegetables and rotten seafood.

Go to the back of the platform to find a table with vegetables and seafood and a cooking station. Pick up 1 carrot and 1 tomato, and then go back downstairs and interact with the hourglass to change the time. Now, head back to the table and pick up 1 Rotten Clam and 1 Rotten Fish. Once you have picked up the ingredients, add all of them in the Cooking Station to make Bird Food.

NOTE: If you don’t put ingredients of the right age, it will give you Rubbish as a cooked result.

After cooking the Bird Food, give it to Raven and he will give you the Power Coil. Place the Power Coil in the socket below. Change the time again by interacting with the hourglass, and then move the reflector twice. Interact with the hourglass again to see that the locked door is now open. Head inside the chamber you unlocked to find the Key.

Get inside the throne room

Now, head back to the main hallway of Jafar’s Palace and interact with the lock to unlock the gate and enter the throne room.

Step inside the mysterious Time Rift in the Palace

Unfortunately, Jafar will not be in the throne room, except a mysterious Time Rift. Interact with the Time Rift to step inside it which will conclude the Palace of Time quest.
