The upcoming expansion of Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred will introduce a brand-new endgame activity called The Dark Citadel, the first-ever Co-Op Dungeon introduced in the Diablo franchise. Although there are several activities like Legion events and world bosses that all players in the server can join together, they can also be tackled alone.

The Dark Citadel is purely made for the Co-Op experience and it feels like Blizzard finally landed on the thought of bringing a WOW-like experience to the World of Sanctuary. Unlike the regular dungeons where you can Solo overcome the challenges, the Dark Citadel will include puzzles and boss encounters, requiring at least two players to communicate and overcome them.

Moreover, another interesting item that players can get as a reward for completing The Dark Citadel dungeon is a Scroll of Retempering along with two new currencies – Citadel Coin and Khaza Horn. The Scroll of Retempering is used for resetting the Tempering Durability on your items allowing you to reroll your legendary pieces of equipment.

Furthermore, the Scroll of Retempering is a single-use item, but it also has a low chance of dropping outside of Dark Citadel. So, if you are venturing across the new region (Nahantu), you might find yourself lucky and get one.

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred will be launched on October 8, 2024, on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
