Contamination is the main pursuit in DREDGE: The Iron Rig that players will be able to pursue once they have caught all strange specimens of The Marrows and brought them to the Scientist at The Iron Rig. This guide will walk you through the Contamination pursuit in DREDGE: The Iron Rig.

How to Complete Contamination, Main Pursuit in DREDGE: The Iron Rig

Craft the Siphon Trawler

The Scientist requires you to investigate the contaminated areas (The Marrows and Gale Cliffs) and extract the contaminants. However, extracting the contaminants will require you to first craft a Siphon Trawler, an equipment item that can be crafted at the Factory facility. Head over to the Factory where you will be greeted by an Engineer.

Currently, the Factory will be on Tier 1, and crafting the Siphon Trawler requires Tier 2. Give an Ironhaven Crate to the factory to unlock the Tier 2 and craft the Siphon Trawler with the following materials and a cost of $50.

1x Basic Crawl Net

1x Ironhaven Crate

NOTE: The Ironhaven Crates are dredged from the marked missing ship locations on your map. You can purchase the Basic Crawl Net from the Undermarket facility for $215.50.

After getting all the materials, bring them to the Engineer to craft the Siphon Trawler.

Equip the Siphon Trawler & Get Dark Canister

Equip the Siphon Trawler on the equipment slots of your ship and head over to any contaminated water area. As you sail over the contamination, the Siphon Trawler will clear the contaminants off the water. Keep sailing around the contaminated water until you get a Dark Canister.

After getting the Dark Canister, head back to the Iron Rig and deliver it to the Scientist to complete the Contamination pursuit.
