The story content of DREDGE: The Iron Rig revolves around finding the new strange specimens in all the regions whose waters get contaminated with oil as the story progresses. Initially, as players bring power to the Iron Rig by completing the Getting Power pursuit, The Marrows region waters will get contaminated with oil.
The Scientist will request you to find and bring four strange specimens in the waters of The Marrows. This guide will help you find all four strange specimens of The Marrows in DREDGE: The Iron Rig expansion.
All the Strange Specimens of The Marrows in DREDGE: The Iron Rig
The Scientist requires the following four Strange Specimens from the contaminated waters of The Marrows region.
Paddlefish
Osteostracan
Tullimonstrum
Sea Cucumber
All of these specimens are found in Coastal and Shallow waters, but the regular Rods that are used in the main story cannot be used to catch them, instead, you have to use the Infused versions of the Rods. Luckily, the Scientist gives you the Infused Rod with the capability of catching fish in Coastal and Shallow waters at the start of the pursuit.
Equip the Infused Rod on one of the Rod Slots on the ship and make your way to The Marrows to start dredging the specimens.
Where to Find All Strange Specimens of The Marrows in DREDGE: The Iron Rig
All the strange specimens are found in the contaminated waters of The Marrows so, look for any fish bubbles under the oil. The two main locations where we found all these specimens are J-7 and J-9. J-7 is on the western side of Blackstone Isle and J-9 is on the northwest side of Greater Marrow.
Paddlefish – Found at J-7 coordinates.
Osteostracan – Found at J-9 coordinates.
Tullimonstrum – Found at J-9 coordinates.
Sea Cucumber – Found at J-7 coordinates by placing down a Crab Pot.
Upon getting all the strange specimens of The Marrows, go back to the Iron Rig and turn them in to complete the first part of the Strange Specimens (main pursuit).
