Farming is one of the crucial activities in Fields of Mistria that will allow players to farm and grow various crops and trees that can be consumed for regenerating Health and Stamina. Crops and fruits are also used in cooking recipes for better benefits. Similar to other farming/life-sim games, Fields of Mistria also has a seasonal feature that allows you to grow various types of crops and trees respective to every season.
This guide will help you with all the basics of farming in the Fields of Mistria.
Farming in Fields of Mistria
Farming in Fields of Mistria will allow you to farm and grow the crops any time of the season. To do the basic farming in Fields of Mistria, you can follow the following steps.
1. Clear the Farm Area
The very first step is to clear the farm area where you want to grow and harvest your crops and trees. Use the Tools to clear out plants, logs, rock deposits, etc. from the farm area.
2. Get the Seeds
In the early game, you will be given a couple of seed types from Celine and Hayden. But, to get the seeds in general, you will have to buy them from the General Store. General Store offers all seasonal seeds for crops and trees.
3. Till the Land
The next step is to till the land using Hoe to make it eligible for planting the seeds.
4. Plant the Seeds
Once you have tilled the land and have seeds in your inventory, equip the seeds and interact with the till spot to plant the selected seeds.
5. Water the Seeds
After planting the seeds, you will have to water them by equipping the Watering Can and interacting with the planted seeds.
6. Harvest Crops
Once the crops have grown, you will be able to harvest them by interacting with them. The harvested crops and fruits will be stored in your backpack and you can store them in the Storage Chest as well for later use.
In addition to farming, shipping one of the crops at the Shipping Bin will allow you to learn a new recipe. It is recommended to sell your early crops in the game to unlock most of the early-game recipes.
