The New Trailer for Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Demonstrates the Regions of Hyrule and Gameplay Mechanics

Nintendo has released a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which highlights the various regions of Hyrule that Princess Zelda will visit on her journey and some of the gameplay mechanics.

Princess Zelda will be able to explore the castle and the town located in the Central Plateau. In addition, the harsh Gerudo Desert with sand storms awaits her. But there you can also find an oasis and interesting ruins. The game also features a region with waterfalls (Jabul Waters), where colorful fish-like characters live in their village.

Among other locations, they also mentioned a dangerous volcano (Eldin Volcano) and a jungle (Faron Wetlands) where sweet-toothed creatures lurk. During the journey, Princess Zelda can communicate with various NPCs to complete their quests and can keep track of every quest through the Adventure Log.

Revealed Gameplay Mechanics in the Trailer

Moreover, the trailer showcases some of the handy gameplay mechanics. For instance, Princess Zelda can warp around the discovered Travel Waypoints scattered throughout the Hyrule. Apart from fast-traveling, the princess can travel around the world on her steed. With the help of a horse, you can knock down weak enemies and jump over barriers.

The fruits and other consumables found can be used to create smoothie drinks with different effects at the Smoothie Shops manned by Business Scrub. Equipping the Outfits and Accessories will enhance the Princess’s abilities and look fashionable (obviously).

Furthermore, Princess Zelda can call “echoes“, these can be various objects or creatures used for surpassing levels. However, for levels where echoes can’t help, Zelda can use Bind Skill to move objects and creatures. Alternatively, Zelda can also use the Bind Skill to create a Reverse Bond to follow an object or creature’s movement.

The Bind Skill can also be used on echoes so it is all up to the players how they get creative in surpassing the levels and exploring the world.  

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is set to release on September 26, 2024, for the Nintendo Switch.
