A German YouTuber named Cyberpunk 20xx has conducted research, revealing that Ubisoft launched a massive advertising campaign for the game Star Wars Outlaws. The company organized trips for content creators to Disneyland, where they were offered boat rides and whale watching so that after that they would advertise the game to their audience.
Influencers from the European Union were flown to the US (Los Angeles) by Ubisoft to play Star Wars Outlaws for a few hours and then spend a day at Disneyland as VIPs. The company also covered the influencers’ daily expenses such as flights and hotels.
The investigation was started due to early positive previews of Star Wars Outlaws. In general, the honest authors and streamers do not hide the campaign of Ubisoft and Disney, but note that Ubisoft did not pay them for the preview, and all impressions of the game are honest and unbiased.
