The First Descendant currently has 14 different descendants/playable characters with a new one coming at the start of August. Luna will be the new and 15th Descendant joining the other Descendants along with Ultimate Valby on August 1st, 2024, as revealed by The First Descendant’s official tweet on X/Twitter.
The tweet stated: “We are planning to skip the patch next week for the upcoming 5th week update on August 1st. Please look forward to the new Descendant Luna and Ultimate Valby, new intercept battles, new ultimate weapons, modules, external components, and skins on August 1st. Are you ready for content descendants!!!”
So, the next update is going to be big for both the content perspective and the new joining descendants. However, the officials haven’t revealed much about Luna despite the fact that players do meet her late in the game while progressing the main story.
Currently, the abilities and skills of Luna are uncertain but we do know that her skills are based on musical instruments, similar to Octavia in Warframe. Her various skills will be used for dealing damage to enemies and crowd control while applying various buffs to allies.
As of right now, we are uncertain if she fits the role of a Support character completely or not due to a lack of information on her skills. However, we all will find out on August 1st, 2024 when the next big update comes out.
