In the latest update of No Man’s Sky, players have the freedom to build underwater bases on various planets that include water patches and oceans. Moreover, another quality-of-life feature that was added with the latest update is to land the starships on aquatic surfaces.

This guide will help you how to land your starship on the water in No Man’s Sky.

How to Land Starship on Water in No Man’s Sky

Landing your starship on any aquatic surface will require you to first install the Aquatic Landing System technology called Aqua-Jets on your Starship. The Aqua-Jets is a new technology that players can learn from Hyperion at the Space Anomaly. It will cost 240x Nanites to purchase the Aqua-Jets Blueprint from Hyperion.

After getting the blueprint, you need to get the required materials to install the technology on your starship.

3x Magnetic Resonator: Obtained from crafting.

2x Antimatter: Obtained from harvesting Antimatter Reactor, found in Cargo Drops and Barrel Fabricators, bought from NPCs, and crafting.

4x Crystal Sulphide: Harvested from underwater vents and oceans.

Upon acquiring the materials, open the Starship menu and install the Aqua-Jets technology. Once done, you will be able to initiate the Aquatic Landing simply by landing on any water. The starship will stay on top of the water allowing you to exit the starship and explore around the ocean/water area.
