Training Games is the final Friendship Quest for Mulan in Disney Dreamlight Valley that players will get to pursue upon reaching Friendship Level 10 with her. This guide will walk you through how to complete the Training Games quest for Mulan in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete Training Games in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
Initiating the Training Games quest will require you to first unlock it by completing the Art of Fun quest and reaching Friendship Level 10 with Mulan. Once the quest is available in the Quests Tab, track it to make it an active quest, and then speak with Mulan to initiate the quest.
Speak to Mother Gothel
Upon starting the quest, Mulan will tell you about her capture the flag game idea and that she wants to challenge Mother Gothel. Open the map to find Mother Gothel and then go over to her to tell her about the challenge.
Gather the Materials and Craft the Mini Flags
After speaking with Mother Gothel, you need to gather the following materials for the Mini Flags.
3x Fabric – Crafted at a Crafting Station using Cotton or can be purchased at Kristoff’s Stall for 220 Star Coins each.
4s Blue Star Lily – Found growing on the ground in the Forest of Valor biome.
4x Red Bromeliad – Found growing on the ground in the Sunlit Plateau biome.
8x Dry Wood – Found under the trees in the Sunlit Plateau. Frosted Heights, and Forgotten Lands biomes.
Once you have gathered all the materials, go to the crafting station and craft the Mini Flags. Now, bring the Mini Flags to the Fairy Godmother, and then return to Mulan to begin the Capture the Flag game.
Help the Teammates Find their Mini-Flags
Finding the Mini Flags of your teammates will require you to complete a subquest for each teammate. You can complete these subquests in any order to progress further in the main quest.
Nala – Training Games: The Lioness
Maui – Training Games: The Shapeshifter
Buzz Lightyear – Training Games: The Space Ranger
How to Complete the Training Games: The Lioness Quest
Speak to Nala to begin the subquest and she will tell you to get her flag by fishing somewhere that smells like salt, fish, and sand. Go over to the Dazzle Beach biome and look in the ocean to find an Orange Ripple with a floating flag in the middle. Equip the fishing rod and fish out the flag from the ripple to get Nala’s Flag. Now, bring the flag back to her to complete the subquest.
How to Complete the Training Games: The Shapeshifter
Speak to Maui to begin the quest and he will give you his Flag straight away. However, the flag will be covered in ice and he will tell you to gather the following items.
Maui’s Frozen Flag – Given by Maui.
1x Mint – Found growing on the ground in the Frosted Heights biome.
1x Ginger – Found growing on the ground in the Forgotten Lands biome.
2x Carrot – Purchased from Goofy’s Stall in the Peaceful Meadow biome for 66 Star Coins each.
After gathering all the required items, you will have to find a way to combine all of them to defrost Maui’s Flag. To do so, simply head over to the Cooking Station and select the Quests section to find Maui’s Flag recipe. Select the recipe and autofill all the ingredients to make Maui’s Recipe. Now, bring the flag to Maui to complete the subquest.
How to Complete the Training Games: The Space Ranger
Speak to Buzz Lightyear to begin the subquest and he will tell you to get his flag by digging somewhere sunny with trees and bones. Go over to the Sunlit Plateau biome and look for a sparkling spot on the ground with a flag coming out of it. Upon finding the buried flag, equip the shovel and use it to get Buzz’s Flag. Now, bring the flag to Buzz Lightyear to complete the subquest.
Meet Mulan
After finding all the flags, speak to Mulan, and then go to the Mystical Cave in the Dazzle Beach biome. Meet Mulan inside the Mystical Cave and then head down to the bottom of the cave to listen to the conversation between Mulan and Mother Gothel.
Completing the Quest
After listening to the conversation, speak with Mulan, and then take a photo with the winning team. Once done, speak with Mulan again about winning the competition to conclude the quest.
