ASKA is a survival video game with mixed colony builder sim mechanics that will allow you to create your own tribe and survive through the hardships of the Viking land. Surviving in ASKA will require you to build yourself a settlement and gather food and water to live through the coming days. Moreover, your villagers also need food to live and stay happy, otherwise, they will leave your village and never return.
There are various ways to get food in ASKA, but one of the essential ways to get food easily and early is through fishing. If you have built a settlement near the coastline, it will be a lot easier for you to catch fish and get enough food for yourself and the villagers.

How to Catch Fish in ASKA
Fish can be caught from the coastline of the land in ASKA using the Flimsy Fishing Rod equipped with any type of fishing bait. You can use the food items like Red Meat, and Fish Meat to craft the fishing baits in ASKA. Moreover, you also need to craft the Flimsy Fishing Rod with the following materials.
3x Stick
2x Rope
Fishing Technique in ASKA
Once you have crafted the fishing rod and stored baits in your inventory, go to the edge of the coastline and press the LMB to cast the line into the water. Wait for the bobber to go underwater and keep your eye on the tip of the fishing rod. As soon as it starts bouncing, press the LMB to reel in the fish. If you press the LMB a little bit late, the fish will get away and you will lose the bait as well. You need to time it perfectly to catch fish every time.
Harvest the Fish to Get Raw Fish Meat
After catching the fish, drop them to the ground from your inventory to harvest them using the Stone Knife. Hold the R button to start harvesting the ship and it will give you 1x Raw Fish Meat which then can be cooked either on a Barbecue or inside the Cooking House.
Furthermore, as you progress in the game by building more structures, you will be able to make a Fisherman’s Pit/Hut where you will be able to add Villagers who will then catch fish for you and the other villagers. However, you will have to provide them with fishing baits so do fulfill their needs.
