Pax Dei: How to Get Heartwood

The world of Solisium in Pax Dei is enriched with various resources that are essential for crafting useful items, tools, building structures, etc. which all help you greatly in surviving and progressing through the game. However, not all resources can be gathered from the start as some of them require a certain tool.

One of the early to mid-game resources that players can gather is Heartwood from the dense forest areas of the map. This guide will help you how to get heartwood in Pax Dei.

How to Get Heartwood in Pax Dei

Heartwood is the second tier of wood resource in Pax Dei which can be obtained by chopping the Beech Trees, Alpine Juniper Trees, and many more found in the forest areas. There are several starting areas with dense forests where you can easily find these trees and some of these areas are the following.

Moreover, there are even harder trees as well in the forests that drop the third tier of wood, and if you want to easily locate the trees from where you can get Heartwood, look for the lighter color trees in the forests.

However, the trees that drop Heartwood are much harder than normal trees and cannot be cut using the Gneiss Stone Axe. Instead, you will have to get the Iron Chopping Axe to cut the harder the trees to forage the Heartwood.

Getting the Iron Chopping Axe will require you to reach Level 10 and several Basic Workbenches that will help you craft all necessary items for the axe. For a brief explanation, you will first need the Basic Carpenters Workbench and a Stone Anvil. After that, you need to use the Basic Carpenters Workbench to craft the Basic Blacksmithing Tools, a required item for crafting Basic Blacksmithing Workbench.

Once done, you need to craft the Basic Weapon Smithing Tools at the Basic Blacksmith Workbench and then you will be able to craft the final required workbench called Basic Weapon Smithing Workbench.

It is a long process to get the tier 2 axe in Pax Dei so make sure that you are out there in the wilderness gathering all the resources and crafting the items to level up quickly and unlock the ability to craft the Iron Chopping Axe.
