More evidence that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will make its way to other consoles popped up on Tuesday. A datamine seems to suggest the game would be on the next Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection.
New information suggests a second Master Collection Volume is coming
In a recent post to the Metal Gear Solid subreddit, information mined from the recently released MGS: Master Collection Vol. 1 seems to reference other games in future collections. This includes titles like Metal Gear Acid (MGA) and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (MGSPW) — both originally PSP exclusives.
Most notably, however, is another reference to “MGS4,” the shorthand version of Metal Gear Solid 4. While not confirmation of anything, this seems to go hand-in-hand with other information found earlier this year that suggests a second volume of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection is in the cards.
Earlier this year, Twitter users inspecting the Metal Gear Solid timeline page found placeholder buttons for Metal Gear Solid 4, 5, and Peace Walker. While the inclusion of every game will be exciting to fans, the addition of Metal Gear Solid 4 is the biggest piece of news.
Since its release in 2008, the game has never been ported or released on any other console. That’s left it essentially trapped for fans who don’t have access to the console.
