Surviving in the world of Soulmask will require you to pick up all sorts of materials as you explore the world. These materials are used to craft all sorts of items and building structures that will help you survive for longer. However, keeping your inventory full of items will make you slow and consume a high amount of stamina on each action, and the best way to tackle it is to store the unnecessary items in storage boxes for later use.
This guide will help you how to get the Storage Boxes in Soulmask.
How to Unlock the Storage Boxes in Soulmask
The storage boxes are one of the essential items in Soulmask that players can make and place in their starting base to store all of the items before they go ahead to explore more of the world. However, similar to other crafting items and structures, players will first have to learn the recipe to make the storage boxes.
One of the earliest storage boxes that players can unlock is the Thatch Box. To unlock the Blueprint of the Thatch Box, head to the Knowledge & Technology Menu by pressing the T Button and search the Thatch Box to find its blueprint. It requires Awareness Strength 1 which is basically your level in the game. As it is one of the earliest blueprints in the game, it doesn’t require any Technology Points so, you will be able to learn the recipe for Thatch Box for free.
How to Make the Thatch Box in Soulmask
Once you have learned the recipe for the Thatch Box, it will be available in the Blueprint Crafting which is basically the Handcrafting section located in the Items Menu. Press the Tab Button to open the Items Menu and you will see all the recipes available for crafting on the right side. From here, you can craft the Thatch Box by selecting it and then pressing the E Button. Obviously, it does require a certain number of materials so make sure to get them first before crafting it.
20x Thatch
10x Fiber
All of these materials are very easy to get so explore around the starting area to gather the fiber and thatch by harvesting the plants. Upon getting the materials and then crafting a Thatch Box, it will be added to your inventory. Now, the only thing left to do is to place it down. Press the respective hotkey to equip the Thatch Box from the inventory and then press the LMB to place it down.
How to Use the Thatch Box
The Thatch Box offers 18 storage slots in which you can store the items as bundles. It will help you greatly in storing unnecessary items as well as heavy items like stones. Furthermore, you can also set the limits for your tribesmen to either take items from the storage box or not and store items in it or not.
