Surviving in Soulmask will require you to get all the necessary tools to push forward to find a suitable place for your base and start exploring the world. Without the tools, you won’t be able to survive for much longer as tools will get you all sorts of essential materials required for crafting essential survival items as well as your first starting base.

How to Get All the Primitive Tools in Soulmask
The Primitive Tools are divided into two categories providing a set of Stone Tools and basic survival items. Open the Knowledge & Technology Menu by pressing the Y Button and you will see the Primitive Tools on the left side. Select the Primitive Tools section and then unlock the blueprints for both of the categories.
Once you have unlocked the blueprints, you will be able to handcraft them. Press the Tab Button to go into the inventory and you will see the crafting section on the right side. Here, you will find all the recipes that can be handcrafted simply by selecting them or pressing the E Button by hovering over them.
Crafting All the Stone Tools in Soulmask
You will be able to craft four Stone Tools in Soulmask after unlocking the blueprints of the Primitive Tools. Each Stone Tool will require 3x Stone and 1x Branch to be crafted so, ensure you have gathered enough from the ground in the game’s starting area.
Stone Pickaxe: Allows you to mine the rock nodes to get Flint.
Stone Axe: Allows you to cut trees to get Logs.
Stone Scythe: Allows you to cut the grass.
Stone Butcher’s Knife: Allows you to collect meat and leather from dead wildlife.
Crafting All Basic Survival Items
The Basic Survival Items are there to help you both navigate the world and survive for longer in your journey. The items included in the basic Survival category are the following.
Water Bottle: Allows you to store water.
Bug Net: Allows you to catch various types of bugs.
Luminous Waist Lamp; Allows you to illuminate the area around you.
All of these items are equally essential as the stone tools as you will be traversing the world for longer period even in the nighttime. If you have a water bottle, you will be able to survive for longer and if you are traversing in the night, the waist lamp helps you navigate the world better in the darkness.
Now crafting these items might take a bit longer than the stone tools as you will have to gather some things for them first. An essential thing that you need to get is a lot of Vines to make Thick Ropes. Vines are gathered from harvesting the plants so, make sure to harvest the plants when starting out. Another essential item that you need is Beast Hide. For this, you can craft your first weapon, Wooden Spear (recommended), and take down the wildlife in the forest. After that, use the butcher’s knife to gather the beast’s hide.

NOTE: You will have to first make the Bug Net to catch the Fireflies at nighttime to complete the crafting materials for the Luminous Waist Lamp.
