Modern Warfare 4 DMZ: How to Enter the X01 Location

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ has received a new major location, which is an entirely new map within DMZ. Unlike other high-threat locations on the map that you can explore on the go, the X01 weapon facility location is a separate map within Hajin. It is a medium-sized map area with different locked rooms and bosses. In this guide, we will explain how to enter the new X01 location in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ.

Where to Find the X01 Location in DMZ

The X01 is a brand-new map location in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. Although it is a part of the regular DMZ, it does not appear on the map like other major locations. However, the X01 area has a permanent location. It is located in the northwest corner of Hajin.

Even when you view the map, it will not show you the X01 location. You must go to the weapon facility in the northwest corner of the map to see the “X01” area title at the top of the screen.

How to Enter the X01 Location in DMZ

To enter the X01 location in DMZ, make your way to the northwest corner by any means. Use any ground vehicle to reach the location before the DMZ time ends. The DMZ match has a 30-minute time limit, so you must reach the location before the main match’s time ends.

Once you are at the facility, go to the right to find a door with a button on the wall. Hold down the interaction key to open the door. Go inside and head into the elevator on the right. Once you are in the elevator, interact with the console in the elevator to enter X01.

Upon interacting with the console, a 20-second timer will start. Once that ends, a loading screen will appear, which is matchmaking for the X01 location. You will enter a matchmaking queue for this location with other players who are trying to get in. Once that matchmaking is done, you and your squad will enter the X01 location.

Another important thing to take note of is that X01 has a separate 20-minute time limit. It is not related to the DMZ time limit, as it is a separate match. Once you are done exploring X01, you must leave the area through its exclusive Exfil before the time runs out.
