Modern Warfare 4 DMZ: How to Enter the X01 Deep Vault

The Deep Vault is one of the main areas in the X01 location in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ. If you are pursuing the new DMZ Orders, you will eventually get the “Complete Defusal” orders. These orders require you to enter the X01 Deep Vault, neutralize the bioweapon in the Vault core room, and kill Blix inside the Vault. However, the Deep Vault is not an open area that you can access freely. In this guide, we will explain how to enter the X01 Deep Vault in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ.

Find the X01 Deep Vault Key

The Deep Vault is a locked area, located on the northwest side of the X01 map. The only way to get inside the Deep Vault is to find a corresponding key. There are multiple keys with the Deep Vault title, and using any of them works on the main door of the vault. The most common one that you can come across is Deep Vault 301 by eliminating the Captain.

The Captain is the commander in X01 who roams the map randomly. There is no specific location for the Captain to spawn, so you have to check both the ground and upper floors for him. The Captain uses a minigun with Juggernaut armor, so do not take him lightly. It will require heavy firepower to take him down. Once defeated, you can pick up the Vault Key near his body.

Enter the X01 Deep Vault

Once you or one of your squad members has the Deep Vault Key, go to the Deep Vault area on the map. Head straight to the vault door and interact with the console on the wall to open the vault. Go inside and press the elevator button. This will close the main vault door behind you, so other players cannot come inside.

Open the Core Room

After coming down from the elevator, go up to the 4th floor from the staircase on the left. Go straight ahead on the top floor to find the control room for the core room. Interact with the button on the console to open the core room. Be aware that while the core room is opening, Tier 3 enemies will spawn in the area.

Take out all of the enemies and then head down to the ground floor to find the core room door. Press the button to open the core room and head inside. After that, Blix will spawn in the Deep Vault. While you are in the Core Room, loot the cabinets and equip the Juggernaut armor to eliminate the threat and Blix.

Loot all of the cabinets in the room. Before you leave, interact with the bioweapon at the center of the room to neutralize it. Once done, you can head back to the elevator. Breach the door of the elevator and then zip up the elevator to leave the Deep Vault.
