Players can catch various fish types in Palia while doing the Fishing Guild. Catching common and rare fish is the crucial step of leveling up the Fishing Guild to unlock advanced versions of the Fishing Rod as well as new items and crafting recipes at the Fishing Guild Store. One of the early fish players can catch is Fairy Carp which can be used in various cooking recipes or sold to earn money.
This guide will assist you in finding Fairy Carp in Palia.
How to Catch Fairy Carp in Palia
Fairy Carp is a rare fish but it requires a bait to catch it. Unlike the small common fish in Palia, Fairy Carp is a bit big fish and players will have to use the Worms as bait to catch it and they only spawn during Morning and Evening time. To get the Worm bait, players need to visit the General Store and interact with the Cash Register to buy the Worm. Each Worm bait can be bought for 10 Gold. Make sure to buy several worms so you don’t have to go over to the general store to buy the baits every time you catch an alternate fish.
Where to Find Fairy Carp in Palia
Fairy Carp can be found in the ponds in both of the map zones (Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay) but the most common place for them to spawn is at the Mirror Pond Ruins located northwest in the Kilima Valley map zone. Go to the Mirror Pond Ruins area and use the Worm bait before casting the line in the water. Wait for the fish to take the bait and as the Bobber starts moving, start reeling in the fish. Fairy Carp does move frequently so you will have to move the bobber left and right to keep the fish in between the brackets.
Once you have reeled in the fish all the way to yourself, you will automatically catch it. If you get an alternate fish, you can reuse the bait and cast the line again until you get the Fairy Carp. Fairy Carp has a selling price of 145 Gold and you can sell it at the General Store or the Shipping Bin.
