A cult-favorite PlayStation 3 action game’s modern remaster just received a free update with fresh content. The new patch arrives as the remaster celebrates a major milestone.
Dragami Games released the update for Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP as part of the game’s second-anniversary celebration. The main attraction of the update is the all-new “Party Dress” costume for protagonist Juliet Starling.
It features an elegant white strapless dress with a flared skirt, bow accent, and red rose embellishment, offering a stylish look as she poses with her signature chainsaw.
The Party Dress gives Juliet a fresh look built specifically for the anniversary celebration. However, her festive mood is ruined when zombies show up outside the venue, forcing her back into action.
PS4 and PS5 owners of the remaster can now download the patch to access the fresh costume addition.
What’s new in the free Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP update
In addition to the new outfit, the free update for the remaster adds a new photo frame for Photo Mode. Players can use it to capture Juliet in the new Party Dress and create anniversary-themed screenshots.
The hack-and-slash game’s story follows Juliet Starling, a cheerleader at San Romero High School whose family has secretly hunted zombies for generations. On her birthday, Juliet arrives at school to find her classmates turned into zombies, and she must use her chainsaw to fight them.
RePOP is the remastered version of the original PS3 action-adventure game, which debuted in 2012. It features upgraded HD visuals, streamlined action mechanics, faster loading times, refined chainsaw action, and an optional RePOP mode that adds vibrant pop-art visual effects to gory gameplay.
The game is now available on the PlayStation Store for $43.09 for the PS5 edition, while its PS4 variant costs $40.89. As of writing, it holds an average rating of 4.69 out of 5, based on 3,570 reviews.
