Autobots In Athena? Lords Mobile Collabs With Transformers

Things are all getting a bit sci-fi in Lords Mobile over Summer and Autumn. IGG, the studio behind the popular strategy MMO, has teamed up with Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, to bring the world of Transformers to the Lords Mobile game. Launching this August, the collaboration will run for three months.

There are a ton of exclusive, limited-edition rewards up for grabs, but you’ll need to put in the work to get them, and the work in question is facing the dangers of the Cybertron Battlefield. 

There’s a few stages to this, so let’s run through step by step. 

In order to fight on the Cybertron Battlefield, you’ll need Phase Energy. This depletes at a rate of one-per-second, so it’s essentially a timer function. Once it depletes down to zero, you’re taken off the battlefield. You’ll get a set amount of Phase Energy restored each day. 

On the Cybertron Battlefield itself, you have a number of different Protocol Quests available, which you should chase after if you want to get the limited goodies.

Pulse Fortresses

These are a special type of Stronghold only open to solo attacks. Once it’s attacked, it triggers a king-of-the-hill style contention. The player who holds the fortress the longest gets the prizes, then the fortress goes into cooldown mode. 

Insecticon Nests

These are a special kind of Darknest. Attack them solo and win to acquire Energon, which will be important later.

Energon Lodes

These are important resource nodes. If you can capture one, and hold onto it long enough to complete a gathering cycle, you’ll get Energon Crystals. (Different to Energon, we’ll explain this in a second.)

The Furnace

Combine Energon Crystals (from the Lodes) and Energon (from the Insection Nests) in The Furnace to create Energon Cubes and AllSpark Shards. 

Technology Research

Once you’ve smelted your Energon Cubes, take these to the Cybertron Research Center to research new technology and gain event-long buffs that will help you progress further. 

The Depot

Visit the Cybertron Depot once you’ve managed to collect some AllSpark Shards, to trade those in for event rewards. 

Alongside the Battlefield, there’s also Cybertron Pinball, a fun little minigame where you can use your Event Tokens to play. If you rack up enough points, you’ll unlock cosmetic rewards like a limited edition Castle Skin, a Leader Skin, and special emotes. 

Of course, you needn’t do any of this without some expert help. You might find some familiar faces coming to help you out across the event. Expect to see iconic characters like Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and that backstabbing little gremlin Starscream.
