Dragons in a zombie outbreak? It’s more likely than you think. In fact it’s all but certain now that Resident Evil Survival Unit from Aniplex and JOYCITY has teamed up with Monster Hunter for a month-long collab event that will bring some of the series’ most recognizable beasts to the zombie fighting strategy game.
From July 2nd to July 29th, you’ll get the chance to play the new co-operative game mode, where you can team up with other survivors to battle huge beasts from the series, like Rathalos and Yian Kut-Ku.
Hunt Some Big Game
Why would you want to take on a dinosaur when you’ve already got zombies to contend with? Rewards, of course! The collab brings a ton of exclusive Monster Hunter goodies to spruce up your squads, or your base.
You’ll also see some familiar, less monstrous faces from the series too, with a number of iconic heroes from the games joining the roster for a short time. They’ll join up with you for free, too.
Hunt down the huge wildlife with the help of your new heroes, bring it down, and grill up your catch to earn those sweet rewards, because what’s a Monster Hunter experience without ridiculously giant platters of meat?
All this is available throughout July, though once it’s gone, it’s gone. So if you want the rewards, you’d better get to it.
Never played Resident Evil Survival Unit? Well, now might be the time to change that. RESU is a game set in the Resident Evil universe that changes you with building a safe haven in an infected city.
You’ll need to manage your resources, and make expeditions out into the zombie-infested areas to find things that might help your builds. If it sounds like your cup of T-Virus, then maybe check it out now on Google Play, or the App Store – just click here.
