After an extra week of waiting, Sony has announced PS Plus Essential July 2026 monthly free games. The lineup isn’t too exciting, but PS4 players will be pleased to note that all three games are available on the last-gen console.

The following games will be free for all PS Plus subscribers starting Tuesday, July 7:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (PS5, PS4)
For the King II (PS5, PS4)
CrossCode (PS5, PS4)
Unlike PS Plus Extra and Premium games, the Essential lineup will go live on the same date in all regions. However, as always, the rollout will be staggered by time zones. The PS Store updates around noon local time, which means Japan/Asia, Australia, and New Zealand will be the first countries to get access to July’s Essential games.
