How to Find Evidence in Demonology

Finding evidence is the only way to prove the presence of a ghost. Depending on the evidence you find, you can try to determine which ghost is haunting the map with the power of deduction.

And the equipment you need to find these pieces of evidence.

Handprints

It’s important to note that fingerprints and footprints can also count as Handprint evidence. The only way to find Handprints is by using the Blacklight. These prints indicate that a ghost made contact with the object and appear green.

EMF [Must be level 5]

As a paranormal investigator, an EMF is a crucial part of your kit. The thing you need to look out for is EMF Level 5, which is indicated by all five lights, including the red light, and a piercing sound.

To get EMF Level 5, a ghost needs to either:

Temperature [Must be freezing]

To check the temperature of a room, you need a Thermometer. I recommend keeping it equipped whenever you enter a new room. If you notice the temperature drop below 32°F or 0°C, then this counts as a piece of evidence.

A Thermometer is the main way of providing that there are freezing temperatures, but you can also look out for fog (even indoors), foggy windows, and seeing your breath.

Spirit Box

Spirit Boxes are a piece of equipment that ghosts can use to attempt to communicate with you. The Spirit Box only works if the lights in the room are off. You need to ask the ghost a question, and if it answers, you’ll either hear their answer or see red text on the Spirit Box.

To make it easier, you can bring a Plushie. It starts to levitate if there’s a ghost present and practically guarantees that you’ll get an answer back.

Ghost Orb

Ghost Orbs only show up on cameras. You can see them via:

While Ghost Orbs are a key piece of evidence, they can also be a good indicator to find additional evidence, as they prove there’s an entity in the room.

Laser Projector

By placing a Laser Projector in a room, the ghost visually indicates its presence as it walks past. I recommend using a Video Camera to capture this so it counts as evidence.

Inscription

Inscriptions can appear on walls, but a Spirit Book can also be used to gather this piece of evidence. The best way to get a ghost to write in a Spirit Book is by placing it in the room they seem to like the most.

You don’t have to stand there and wait for the writing to appear, but make sure to keep checking back. This only counts as a piece of evidence if there is writing/scribbles in the Spirit Book.

Wither

Signs of gradual decay around the map can be used as Wither evidence. You need to look out for:
