If you’re a Fullbringer, you might be wondering how to unlock the Type Soul Megalo Element, which is also known as Chara. As a Fullbringer in Type Soul, Megalo isn’t the only Element to obtain. There’s also the Almighty Element, obtainable when completing the Almighty Quest in Type Soul.
Type Soul Megalo / Chara
Unlocking Megalo [Chara] is much easier than the Almighty questline. Megalo is only available for players who have a Fullbringer character, and is a Mythical rarity Element for Fullbringers.
How to Unlock Megalo
First, head to Naruki City in Karakura Town to find the Chara Quest NPC. Speaking to him unlocks the required quest, which includes a range of tasks to complete.
These tasks can be done in any order, but they are major requirements, and must be completed in one way or another.
Required Tasks
The requirements to complete the Chara Quest are:
Determined Soul
Knock down an opponent while your HP is below 10%. This grants you a 25% chance of getting Determined Soul
It does not matter who your opponent is or what their current Grade is
Heart Locket
You need to gift another player a Hogyoku Ball
You can get Hogyoku Balls by taking part in Soul Wars, Culling Games, Ranked Matches, and King of the World
Real Knife
Get 25 Overworld kills in total [it doesn’t matter who you defeat]
Previously, you could either get the 25 Overworld kills or send a player to Purgatory. The latter was a feature of Hell, which has since been removed in the latest update
Extricate Essence
Also known as Extricate Core, this Essence can be obtained from:

How to Become a Fullbringer
You cannot obtain Megalo/Chara without being a Fullbringer.
To become a Fullbringer, you need to get to Grade 2 by completing Mission Board quests in Fake Karakura Town.
Upon reaching Grade 2, you can unlock your Fullbring by speaking with the NPC, Elek Ginji, also located in Fake Karakura Town. The bar at the side of your screen must fill to 100%, which is done by meditating. Once it reaches 100%, you need to meditate once again to be teleported to your Fullbring Innerworld.
As you enter the Fullbring Innerworld, you have to defeat waves of Hollows before the bar depletes to 0. After beating each wave, you can replenish some of your HP.

Wave 1
3x Friskers/Fishbones
Wave 2
2x Fishbones1x Menos
Wave 3
3x Friskers/Fishbones
Wave 4
1x Adjucha

Do I Need to Unlock Megalo / Chara?
No, you don’t. It’s completely optional, and there are other Elements to use as a Fullbringer. The unlock requirements for Megalo are easier to meet than those for Almighty, with the latter including an in-depth questline.
Should I Choose to Be a Fullbringer?
Again, this is optional, as you can choose between being a Fullbringer, Shinigami, Hollow, or a Quincy. One of the main benefits of being a Fullbringer is the ability to use exclusive weapons, as well as Fullbring Mode.
