PlayStation fans are in for a treat. The company recently unveiled a brand new PlayStation 5 controller, and better yet, it’s out today.
What are the details on the newest PS5 controller?
On the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation revealed its latest licensed controller, the Scuf Omega. Made in collaboration with Scuf, the new performance controller is made for low-latency connectivity and features a ton of the customization options that Scuf is known for.
The new controller features 28 total inputs, including 11 additional customizable inputs, with four in the back, two on the side, and five “G-Keys,” which are placed on the underside of the controller and can be customized with a litany of commands like jumping, firing, and other in-game actions. The controller also features enhanced thumbsticks, which can be swapped out to fit smaller or higher profiles depending on the feel of the game you’re playing.
The Scuf Omega is available to pick up now from Scuf’s website for $219.99. The controller comes in a wide variety of cosmetic options, as well, including black and white versions, a special cherry blossom edition, and more. The full list of features available for the Scuf Omega are as follows:
Build and manage multiple profiles for different games or playstyles
Save setting directly to the controller
Dial in sensitivity with true 0% deadzones
Fine-tune trigger and thumbstick response curves
Choose your thumbstick response zone: Circle, Square, or the default Squircle
Configure SOCD settings for fighting games
Manage microphone, volume, and audio controls
Recalibrate thumbsticks to maintain peak accuracy
Monitor battery level and charging status
Set up mobile gaming connectivity
