“What do you think of our little town?” “It’s, uh, charming.” Vertigo has debuted their own new official UK trailer for the action thriller Normal, about a normal guy who takes on an entire corrupt town. It kicks ass! Go see it! This already opened in the US a few weeks ago and opens in the UK in cinemas this May. From top notch genre director Ben Wheatley (who last made Meg 2: The Trench) comes a thriller in the same vein as John Wick and Nobody before it – and it also happens to be written by the same guy who created those two franchises. Bob Odenkirk stars as Sheriff Ulysses who takes over a post in a quaint small town. But when a botched bank robbery interrupts the municipality’s tranquil pace, a sordid secret is inadvertently exposed and Ulysses learns that the town is anything but its namesake… Suddenly everyone is trying to shoot the sheriff, even his own deputies, and our put-upon policeman must rely on his affable mettle and some motley crooks if he is to survive the night. The film also stars Lena Heady, Henry Winkler, Ryan Allen, Billy MacLellan, Brendan Fletcher, Reena Jolly, Peter Shinkoda, Jess McLeod, and more. I’ve seen the action film and it rocks! “Die Hard meets Fargo” written on the poster is a completely accurate description. It’s a blast! Entirely worth a watch – some solid action throughout while Odenkirk handles all the buffoons. // Continue Reading ›
