“You’re going to become heterosexual!” The Jokers distribution from France has debuted the first official trailer for the animated film titled Jim Queen, a super gay adventure around Paris. This is premiering at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in May playing in the festival’s Midnight screening section. This looks like so much bright & colorful & queer fun! The full title is Jim Queen and the Quest for Chloroqueer from directors Nicolas Athane and Marco Nguyen. A gay influencer’s life crumbles when a virus turns Paris’s gay men straight. He teams up with a twink to find a rumored cure in the Marais district. A satire on identity, fame, and queer culture. Everyone stops following Jim except Lucien, a closeted twink. Together, they must travel to every corner of the capital in search of a mysterious cure that can heal Jim, but above all, save the LGBTQIA+ community from extinction. With the voices of Alex Ramirès as Jim Parfait & Jérémy Gillet as Lucien, Shirley Souagnon, François Sagat, and Harald Marlot.
