The Sailor Piece Bounty feature currently has one major use, but that could change in future updates. As well as the addition of Bounties, there are now equippable Relics to collect. The Sea 2 update in Sailor Piece is the largest and most ambitious one yet.
Sailor Piece Bounty
Bounties are a new feature in Sailor Piece, added with the Sea 2 update.
How to Increase Your Bounty
Each time you defeat a boss and beat another player in PvP, your Bounty increases. How much it increases by depends on the other player’s Bounty. The higher your opponent’s Bounty, the more Bounty you’ll earn when defeating them.
As for how much Bounty you get when beating bosses, that information is a little vague right now. Every boss increases your Bounty, but the amount you get is determined by the power of the boss itself.
If you’re curious as to what your current Bounty is, you can press the Tab key on your keyboard to bring up the list of player names on your server. Next to your character’s name, you can find your Bounty level.
I’ve gone on enough about how to increase your Bounty, but there’s also a chance to lose Bounty, too. This happens when another player defeats you in PvP. Again, the amount of Bounty you lose depends on the Bounty of your opponent.
Not everyone likes PvP content, I certainly don’t, so the option to focus on bosses is a nice alternative. You can even go AFK after switching on the ‘Auto-Spawn’ option, gradually increasing your Bounty without having to be sat at your device the entire time.
What Are Bounties For?
Bounties are only relevant in Sea 2, which is unlocked by collecting 7 Map Pieces and 2 Ancient Fragments for the Sea Traveler NPC.
The main purpose of Bounties, at least right now, is to summon Sea Beasts. You need a minimum Bounty of 500K to increase the chance of a Sea Beast spawning, which increases when accompanied by other players with a high Bounty level.
The more players are in the area with high Bounties, the more likely it is for one or both of the Sea Beasts to appear. Note that Sea Beasts cannot spawn on the Sea 1 map and are solely a part of the Sea 2 content.
About Sea Beasts
I do have a guide that goes into more detail regarding Sea Beasts, but I might as well go over them a little bit here, too. As mentioned, Sea Beasts are available once you unlock the Sea 2 map. One of the main reasons why players should be battling against either the Kraken or the Sea Serpent is that they have a 100% chance to drop Bloodline Stones, which are required when rolling for a new Bloodline.
Defeating Sea Beasts is the only way to get the new Dragon Goddess sword, which has a 2.02% chance to drop from the Sea Serpent and a 2.88% chance from the Kraken. There’s also the exclusive Dragon Queen title and the Kraken Armor and Blossom Outfit accessories.
