“There may be potential for mutual repair…” 🐙 Netflix has revealed the main official trailer for an uplifting new film titled Remarkably Bright Creatures, which is indeed adapted from the the book of the same name by Shelby Van Pelt. Ready for a streaming release in May coming up – but not in theaters. Through unlikely bonds formed during her work at night shifts at a local aquarium, Tova, an elderly widow, learns of a life-changing discovery that may bring her joy and wonder once again. “Readers of the book will know that the narrator is not actually human, but rather a giant Pacific octopus named Marcellus who forms a special bond with the cleaning lady at the aquarium where he is housed.” Alfred Molina is voicing Marcellus, the giant orange octopus at the center of this story. Olivia Newman’s Remarkably Bright Creatures also stars Sally Field as Tova, Lewis Pullman, Colm Meaney, Joan Chen, Kathy Baker, Beth Grant, & Sofia Black D’Elia. The story also follows a relationship she strikes up with a young man – which is depicted in this trailer – in addition to her friendship with the octopus. Looks pretty good! I am planning to watch this. // Continue Reading ›
