Apple TV has revealed a first look teaser trailer for a new Cape Fear series, a fresh new adaptation of this unsettling story of a criminal coming back for revenge. It’s best known as the 1991 Martin Scorsese-directed movie starring Robert De Niro & Nick Nolte & Jessica Lange – which was nominated for 2 Oscars. The original story is from the novel “The Executioners” by John D. MacDonald, which was also made into the 1962 film directed by J. Lee Thompson before Scorsese’s version. This new take features each episode directed by a different unique filmmaker – with new episodes out each week. “Is there any way Max could know about what we did?” A storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna & Tom Bowden when Max Cady, the notorious killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison — and he wants vengeance. Executive produced by both Martin Scorsese & Steven Spielberg. This Cape Fear features Javier Bardem as Max, Amy Adams, Patrick Wilson, Joe Anders, Lily Collias, Malia Pyles, & CCH Pounder. This is one helluva sneaky, spicy teaser! Such creative editing. Very creepy yet also enticing. Bardem has me hooked with his freaky performance!
