Disney Dreamlight Valley is now officially available on the Nintendo Switch 2 console. It is an improved version of the game, utilizing the power of the new console to offer a smoother experience with improved visuals and increased decoration limit, so that you don’t stop decorating the Valley of your choice. The original version of the game has a lot of performance issues with numerous bugs, both on the original console and Switch 2. Getting Disney Dreamlight Valley Switch 2 upgrade sounds right, but is it Worth it? We will highlight the major improvements and features of the new edition and tell you whether it is worth it or not.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Switch 2 Upgrade Features and Improvements
Disney Dreamlight Valley Switch 2 Edition is a free upgrade for the owners of the game on the original console. If you are switching to Nintendo Switch 2 and own DDLV on Switch 1, you will get a free upgrade of the game for Switch 2. Disney Dreamlight Valley Switch 2 Edition offers the following features unique to the console.
Better Frame Rate: Runs up to 60 FPS, both handheld and while docked.
Faster Loading Times: Transitions between areas and menus are significantly faster.
Better Resolution: Sharper textures and lighting.
Better Stability: Provides smoother gameplay during long sessions and fewer stutters and crashes.
Increased Item Limit: Provides a 6,000 decorating item limit (up from 3,000).
In addition to these features and improvements, the overall picture fidelity feels great. The characters look more vibrant, and the inventory menus and navigation feel smoother. However, the thing that most upset me was that No Mouse Mode for decorating. You cannot use the controllers as a mouse to decorate the Valley. I think that it is the missed opportunity that should have been added to this edition.
Who Should Get Disney Dreamlight Valley Switch 2 Edition
Now that we know what Disney Dreamlight Valley Switch 2 Edition offers, who should buy it? I am going to say it directly: you do not have to purchase a new Nintendo Switch 2 to play Disney Dreamlight Valley. Although it is much better than the original version, but still not close to PC or Console versions.
However, if you are someone who already owns Nintendo Switch 2 and the game, then it is a no-brainer; go for it. It is a huge improvement from the original edition, and you feel more comfortable enjoying the adventure during long sessions.
