Crimson Desert is a blend of futuristic inventions and medieval era that lets you experience the complexity of technology in a medieval world of Pywel. The game does not hold back the introduction of complex mechanics, and puts you into the Abyss to understand them early in the game. After the starting sequence of the game, you will arrive Corridor of Void, where you will be introduced to the Blinding Flash. Moreover, in the first chapter, you will arrive at the Abyss, where you will have to solve the Axiom Force Grapple puzzle. Both of these puzzles are crucial for progression but also important to learn the importance of the skills. In this guide, we will tell you how to solve the Blinding Flash and Axiom Force Grapple Puzzles in Crimson Desert.
How to Solve the Blinding Flash Puzzle (Corridor of the Void)
As you arrive at the Corridor of the Void, you will reach a locked door with a giant crystal above it. Here, the game will introduce you to the Blinding Flash skill. You have to open the door using the Blinding Flash skill to reflect the light on to the crystal. To do so, follow these simple steps.
Press the R1+L1 (PS5) to activate the Blinding Flash skill, and then hold R1 to keep the skill active.
Aim at the giant crystal above the door while the Blinding Flash is active.
Press and hold L1 to Focus Light on to the crystal.
Keep the light for a moment at the crystal to trigger the door open.
This will complete the Blinding Flash puzzle and lets you get back to Pywel to begin Chapter 1.
How to Solve the Axiom Force Grapple Puzzle (Abyss Without Balance)
During Chapter 1, you will arrive at the Abyss to restore it. This sequence requires you to activate the skybridge gate to the Abyss and restore power at the Abyss. Upon reaching the Skybridge Gate, you need to use the Axiom Force skill to operate the alignment device. Press and hold the Left Stick (PS5/Xbox) and aim at the center of the device. Release the stick button to use the Axiom Force and grab the device. Now, rotate the device until the blue light flickers and sounds. This will create a path to the Abyss.
Now, head along the path and make your way to the heart of the Abyss by jumping on the floating blocks. Once there, the second sequence of the puzzle begins. Here is how to solve the Abyss Without Balance puzzle in Crimson Desert.
Use the Axiom Force to grab the floating cube in the area.
Bring the cube to the platform where the hologram is projecting a cube. Once there, release the cube.
Now, head down, and you will spot a chip-looking object.
Use the Axiom Force to grab the chip and place it against the wall.
Let it go and now, focus on the NPC’s movement to learn the “Force Palm” skill.
Go near the chip you placed at the wall and use the Force Palm skill by pressing the Right Stick (PS5/Xbox). This will activate the big circular object above.
Now, go over to the circular object and use the Force Palm skill at its center to power the whole Abyss.
This will complete the Axiom Force Grapple/Abyss Without Balance puzzle in Crimson Desert.
