Crimson Desert offers a wide variety of weapons to use throughout the journey. Initially, Kliff does not have powerful weapons or armor, which can make encounters against tougher enemies very difficult. However, Hernand City is a great place to look for better equipment at the beginning of the game. The best weapon that you can find in Hernand City is Hwando, a Katana weapon with 19 Attack Power as a base damage. This is by far the best weapon you can get early in the game. Hwando Katana Location in Crimson Desert
Hwando Katana is located in a chest behind a locked door on the second floor of the building, left of the Lioncrest Manor.
The Lioncrest Manor is the exact same location from where you can find a Gold Bar and take part in archery competitions. If you go to the other building and climb up through the window on the left side, the chest will be behind the first door on the right.
How to Get Hwando Katana in Crimson Desert
Now, the main thing that you need to have is a Key to unlock the door on the second floor. You can get the Key by defeating bandits or purchasing it from Grimrak, the Back Alley Shop, outside Hernand City. It will cost you 30 Copper for 1 Key. Alternatively, you can steal the key by looting the wardrobes and cabinets of other buildings, and there is a Key on the second floor of the Lioncrest Manor as well. However, this will require a Mask, which you can also get from bandits or from Grimrak.
Once you have a Key, go to the left side of the separate building next to Lioncrest Manor. Climb up the building and open the window to get inside. Walk over to the first door on the right to unlock it with the key. The treasure chest will be in the room. Go and interact with the chest to get Hwando Katana and 1x Refined Palmar Pill.
How to Use Hwando Katana in Crimson Desert
You can equip the Hwando Katana in the tool slot, where your shovel, pickaxe, broom, etc. are. After that, hold down the left button on the D-Pad, and use L2 or R2 to switch among the items. As you equip the Hwando, Kliff will pull out the sword, ready to use.
