“Are you gonna see him again?” Utopia has revealed a trailer for the indie drama titled Bunnylovr, which premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival in the main US Dramatic competition. It later played at other fests including Rooftop Films, Munich, Sidewalk, and a few others. Based on her own personal experiences, Bunnylovr is written and directed by and stars newcomer Katarina Zhu in her feature directorial debut. A cam girl navigates a toxic client relationship while reconnecting with her estranged, dying father, exploring complex relationships and family dynamics. Sundance adds: “Zhu’s nuanced, nonjudgmental approach to sex work and her vulnerable performance ground Bunnylovr’s vision of a precarious social world, in which intimacy is mediated & commodified, and family is fragmented across blood relations and chosen bonds.” The full cast includes Rachel Sennott, Austin Amelio, Perry Yung, and Jack Kilmer.
