Unlocking Pluto as a companion in Disney Dreamlight Valley requires you to first collect six mementoes and then help Merlin with the Memento Spell to open a portal. Now, collecting the six mementoes is a long process, as it requires you to unlock various characters and complete their friendship quests.

After gathering all mementoes, speak with Merlin. He will ask you to meet him in Vitalys Mines. Here, you will get to follow Mickey to a portal with Pluto. As the conversation ends with Mickey, you will unlock Pluto as a companion. After that, you can finish the quest and start hanging out with Pluto like other companions.
How to Equip the Pluto Companion in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Equipping the Pluto Companion will require players to open the “Companions” category. It is under the Wardrobe tab. From there, select the Pluto to equip it. It will follow the players, and players can freely take pictures with it. Moreover, players can also house the companion in a Companion Home.
