How to Complete the Gift of Giving Event in Disney Dreamlight Valley
This year’s Holidays event, Gift of Giving, is the same as last year, with the exception of some new rewards that players unlock throughout the event period. During the event, players can find Festive Wrapping Papers, catch Festive Fish, build a Mad Hatter Snowman, and complete five exclusive duties to unlock rewards.
Where to Find Festive Wrapping Papers in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Festive Wrapping Paper is an exclusive and limited-time item that spawns only around Scrooge’s Store building in the Valley. Only two festive wrapping papers spawn every 2 hours. Moreover, only a maximum of 4 festive wrapping papers spawn at a time.
Visit Scrooge’s Store in the Valley every hour or two and look for the sparkling festive wrapping papers on the ground.
How to Find and Unlock Recipes for Gift Boxes in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Gift Boxes are the new rewards in this year’s Gift of Giving event in Disney Dreamlight Valley. These are non-themed pieces of furniture that players can customize using the Touch of Magic. During the Gift of Giving event, one Green Gift Box will appear at a random location in the Valley each real-life day. It can be in any biome of the Valley. Explore every biome to find a Green Gift Box and interact with it to obtain a recipe for one of the Gift Boxes. How to Craft the Mad Hatter Snowman in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Crafting the Mad Hatter Snowman is a bit different than crafting a regular snowman. You cannot craft the Mad Hatter Snowman at the Crafting Station; instead, you have to build one at the Frosted Heights biome. However, before you can do that, you need to find a special chest that spawns only in the Plaza. It is a red seasonal chest and will spawn only once. Interacting with the chest will give you a memory for the Mad Hatter Snowman, revealing all the steps and the materials required to craft it.
All the Materials to Craft the Mad Hatter Snowman
After looting the special chest in the Plaza and obtaining the blueprint, you will need to gather the following materials.
50x Snowball: Dig the snow in the Frosted Heights or purchase from Kristoff’s Stall for 25 Star Coins.
18x Dandelion: Forage from the ground in the Plaza biome.
4x Hardwood: Forage from the ground near the trees in the Sunlit Plateau, Forest of Valor, Glade of Trust, and Frosted Heights biomes. Moreover, you can purchase it from Kristoff’s Stall for 10 Star Coins.
38x Fabric: Craft at the crafting station using Cotton or purchase from Kristoff’s Stall for 220 Star Coins.
10x Green Passion Lily: Forage from the ground in the Frosted Heights biome.
1x Carrot: Grow it on your own using Carrot Seed or purchase it from Goofy’s Stall for 66 Star Coins.
Find the Giant Snowball in Frosted Heights Biome
After getting all the materials, you need to look for the Giant Snowball that will appear in the Frosted Heights biome. Upon finding the snowball, you will be able to interact with it and provide appropriate materials for every stage to finish crafting it.
All Three Stages to Craft the Mad Hatter Snowman
For each stage, you need to provide the appropriate materials. Here is a step-by-step guide for all the materials that you need to provide.
Stage 1: Transfer 50x Snowball.
Stage 2: Transfer 18x Dandelion, 4x Hardwood, and 23x Fabric.
Stage 3 (Final): Transfer 10x Green Passion Lily, 15x Fabric, and 1x Carrot.
Upon correctly providing all materials, you will finish crafting the Mad Hatter Snowman.
NOTE: The Mad Hatter Snowman crafting recipe will not unlock, and it will not appear alongside other furniture recipes at the Crafting Station.
After crafting the Mad Hatter Snowman in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can move it around using the Build Mode. You can place it anywhere in the Valley, allowing you to decorate freely.
How to Catch All Festive Fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley
In addition to wrapping papers and building a snowman, there will be various festive fish in this event that players can catch at certain locations. The ripples (bubbles) for these festive fish are Red and Green. Here are all the locations and times to catch all festive fish during the Gift of Giving event.
Festive Anglerfish – You can fish it in the Forgotten Lands from 6 PM – 5 AM
Festive Bass – You can fish it in the Peaceful Meadow any time.
Festive Fugu – You can fish on Dazzle Beach while raining.
Festive Salmon – You can fish in the Sunlit Plateau any time.
Festive Squid – You can fish in the Glade of Trust any time.
How to Complete All Gift of Giving Duties in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are five exclusive duties for the Gift of Giving event in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Ho! Ho! Ho! – Give 10 villagers a Gift crafted using Festive Wrapping Paper.
Solution: Craft and give a Delicious Gift, Handcrafted Gift, Naught Gift, or Shiny Gift to 10 villagers.
Do You Wanna Craft a Snowman? – Place a crafted snowman.
Solution: Craft and place a Classic Snowman, Haughty Snowman, Snow Kid, or Snow Lady.
Cookie Taste Test – Eat 3 unique cookies.
Solution: Consume 3 Chocolate Chip Cookies, Minnie’s Gingerbread Cookies, Wonderland Cookies, or “My Hero” Cookies.
Even Fish Are Festive – Catch all 5 Festive Fish
Solution: Catch Festive Anglerfish, Festive Bass, Festive Fugu, Festive Salmon, and Festive Squid.
