“He’s not involved, is he?” “I don’t think you grasp the situation…” Apple TV has debuted the main trailer for Season 2 of the thriller series Hijack – set on the metro in Berlin. The first Hijack series launched on Apple TV+ in June 2023 – the “real time” series followed a 7-hour flight on its way to London that was being hijacked, involving Idris Elda as one of the passengers. In the thrilling second season of Hijack, a Berlin underground train and its commuters are taken hostage, while the authorities scramble to save lives. Sam Nelson (Elba) is at the heart of the crisis on board, where one wrong decision could spell disaster. Can they really keep this “real-time” gimmick going on a train with a bomb? This trailer shows that much more is going on around the city than just one bomb in one subway train. And it gets everything about this metro in Berlin wrong (I ride it every day) – including the trains themselves. But hey, it’s a TV series!
