What Is The Best Pickaxe in The Forge
As of the BETA release, the Arcane Pickaxe is the current Best Pickaxe in The Forge. But why?

Arcane Pickaxe
The Arcane Pickaxe has exceptional stats and overall better-balanced buffs than the other Picks in its tier (Demonic). This includes:
Mining Power: 115Mining Speed: +10%Luck Boost: +50%Rune Sockets: 3
It’s also a cheaper option than the Demonic Pickaxe, costing $250,000 versus the Demonics $500,000. For half the price, the Arcane Pickaxe has only slightly lesser stats, but more than makes up for it in other places.
For example, the Demonic Pickaxe has a -10% negative mining speed debuff, making it slower to strike nodes. It makes up for this with 150 Mining Power, but the gap between the Arcane and Demonic isn’t large enough to make it more efficient for Ore mining. The Arcane Pickaxe is quicker, thanks to its buff, making it better for ore expeditions.
Luck is also a huge factor to consider since the best Pickaxe should be capable of finding the rarest Ores. Fortunately, the Arcane Pickaxe pulls ahead once again with a +50% Luck Boost. This can be further enhanced if you socket a Mining Relic (Luck) to one of its 3 Rune Slots.
In comparison, the Demonic Pickaxe has a lesser 47.5% Luck. Again, this makes it slightly less valuable than the Arcane.
How To Get The Top Pick
To get the Arcane Pickaxe, you need to complete the Bard Questline, obtained from Stonewake Cross, next to the Potion Merchant.
Retrieve and return his guitar, found within a secret cave hidden under a leaf pile near the entrance of the cave on the left. In exchange, you’ll get the key to unlock the Fallen Angels Cave, found when following the right pathways of Stonewake’s Cave. After unlocking this area, it stays permanently open for the player.
Inside, you’ll find the Arcane Pickaxe floating on a pedestal, surrounded by a stone monument of a woman praising the tool.

First Socket: Miner Shard Luck (5-16% overall Luck increase)Second Socket: Miner Shard Yield (3-10% chance to drop an extra Ore when mining)Third Socket: Miner Shard Mine Power (8-15% extra Mining DMG)
