The Forge Luck Mining Builds
Each section is dedicated to telling you the best version of that category when capitalising on maximum Luck. That means some aspects of this build may not conform to the ‘META’, for example, Races and Pickaxes. Fortunately, Builds can be customised, so you don’t need to copy this Build exactly to enhance your Luck when mining.
Race
The Angel Race has a built-in 25% Luck Boost, alongside other excellent stats to enhance overall gameplay. However, being a Mythical Race with a 0.5% roll chance, it’ll be no easy task obtaining this prestigious lineage.
Passives:
Mighty Clover: +25% Luck BoostWings: -20% Dash Cooldown, +50% Dash Distance, +15% Longer Dash IFrames, +20% Movement Speed, +25% Jump Boost, and +20% StaminaSmite: 50% chance to call upon a Smite-on-hit, dealing 30% physical DMG to the target.Holy Hand: Have infinite Stamina when below 20% HP.
Cosmetic:
Large white angelic wings on the player’s back.
Lucky Pickaxe
Ignoring all other stats and focusing on the Pickaxe with the highest Luck will land you with the Arcane Pickaxe, which has a natural 50% Luck Boost. This Pick is obtained via the Fallen Angel’s Cave within the Stonewake’s Cross Cave system. It’ll set you back $125,000, but it is an excellent late-game Pick when considering its other stats. It also mines faster than the average pickaxe, making it better for mineral farming.

Runes
Utilising a Pickaxe’s Rune Sockets will greatly enhance its versatility when mining for rarer Ores. Of the four Miner Shard variants available with the BETA launch, I recommend the following two for your Luck build:
Miner Shard: Luck
Provides a flat Luck Boost.
Miner Shard: Yield
Increases the chance of gaining an extra Ore when mining. (Ideal to increase encounter odds with rarer Ores, especially when maximising your Luck with other Luck Build necessities)
Totems
Obtainable via Robux or Codes. Provides Limited AoE buffs.
Luck Totem: Boosts Luck by 50% for 300 seconds.Miner Totem: Increases Mining Speed by 20%, and Mining Damage by 15% for 300 seconds.
Ideal for faster mining to utilise the limited Luck buffs better.
Potions
Obtainable via the Potion Merchants at Stonewake’s Cross and Forgotten Kingdom. Provides limited consumer buffs.
Luck Potion: Boosts Luck by 20% for 300 seconds. Costs 350 Gold.Miner Potion: Increases Mining Speed by 15% for 300 seconds. Costs 500 Gold.
Ideal for faster mining to utilise the limited Luck buffs better.
Achievements
The Dedicated Player Skill (Found via Backpack and Achievements) permanently increases the player’s Luck when equipped, providing a nice enhancement that gradually improves as a higher tier of the achievement is obtained.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does Luck control?
A: Luck increases your encounter odds with rarer ores. For example, the Galaxite has a 1 in 1 million frequency, meaning without any Luck boosts to shorten that frequency, you’d need to mine an average of 1 million rocks before finding one.
Q: Why is Luck important?
A: Rarer ores are more valuable than just raw selling value. These elite Ores often have high Multipliers and nifty traits, applying generous DMG/DEF to your Weapons and Armour, and the occasional buff to really enhance your build and gameplay. Plus, it’s fun to try and complete the Ore Index, which you’ll need Luck to do!
Q: Is Luck the most important stat?
A: Ironically, it isn’t. All stats have their role to play. Luck is most relevant on Pickaxes, and I’d argue that Power is more ideal than Luck, as this allows you to destroy tougher rocks quicker, making for more efficient mining. Plus, all the late-game Pickaxes with high Power always have some affinity with Luck. After all, there’s no use in having incredible Luck if you can’t break the stones that hold the luckiest Ores.
