Desert Noir ‘Blood Star’ Trailer with John Schwab & Britni Camacho

Give him a badge and a little bit of power.” Quiver Distribution has revealed an official trailer for a gritty desert noir thriller called Blood Star, made by filmmaker Lawrence Jacomelli as his first feature film. This premiered at a few genre film festivals in Europe last year and will be out on VOD later this month for anyone to watch. In this gritty desert noir, a petty thief driving through the New Mexico desert becomes the target of a psychopathic small-town sheriff who views his badge as a license to prey on vulnerable women. Stripped of her phone, car and voice, she must rely on raw instinct and street-smarts to survive a brutal game of cat and mouse— and reclaim her power in a land where the law is just another form of control.
