The latest patch of Palia includes the brand-new story chapter with a new Temple of the Roots that players can pursue to reach the so-far-story moment in the game. Additionally, the 0.178 patch is all about flowers due to Spring and there are several new flowers available for players to plant and grow around their Housing Plot.
Furthermore, this flower blooming aura in the air also brings a few of the quests from different villagers that players can pursue. One of the early quests that players will get is from Auni who will you tell you about that the bugs in Kilima Valley are dropping flower seeds and will give you the quest to catch common Blue Butterflies to see if they drop a seed.
This guide will walk you through the Suspicious Symbiosis quest for Auni in Palia.
How to Complete the Suspicious Symbiosis Quest in Palia
Auni will visit you at your Housing Plot to tell you about the bugs being dropping flower seeds and he will tell you try it out for yourself. Speaking with Auni will accept the Suspicious Symbiosis quest for him requiring you to catch the common Blue Butterflies.
The Common Blue Butterflies are found both in Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay from Dawn to Dusk (3 AM – 6 PM in-game time) but you need to catch them only in Kilima Valley otherwise, they won’t drop the flower seeds. You can find several Common Blue Butterflies flying around in the fields area of Kilima Valley and the best to area to find them is Mirror Fields.
Make your way to Mirror Fields in the required spawn time of the butterflies and use the smoke bombs to catch them. It will take a few tries until you catch a butterfly that will drop the Gardenia Flower.
Plant and Grow the Gardenia Flower
Upon finding the Gardenia Flower, go to your Housing Plot and plant it anywhere. It does not required to be planted in a soil so just plant it anywhere around the housing plot. Once planted, use the Watering Can to water it. The Gardenia Flower takes 3 in-game days to grow and you need to water it daily.
Once the plant is grown, go and speak with Auni to tell him that you grew a Gardenia. Upon speaking with Auni, the quest will be concluded.
Rewards
Completing the Suspicious Symbiosis quest will give the following rewards to the players.
40x Sticky Smoke Bomb
5 Renown
