Getting Candies

Unlike all other Classes, the Trick or Treater is only obtianable if you participate in the 2025 Halloween Event and purchase it using Candies. I explained how to accumulate Candies in my How to Trick or Treat guide, but for a short version:

Find Candles in Chests or dropped by Cultists, and use them to ignite lanterns. At night, knock on the homes of lit houses to gain more Candies through Trick or Treating. There’s also the HappyHalloween code which awards an additional 10 Candies!

99 Nights in the Forest Trick or Treater Class

This limited-time Class won’t be available forever, so if you want it, you’ll need to earn 30 Candies and purchase it from the Jack O’ Lantern NPC in the main lobby. As with all Classes, the Trick or Treater has different level perks to unlock, which include:

Purchase Perk: Gain +4 Candies per house you visit.Level 2 Perk: Have a higher chance of gaining a Treat than a Trick when knocking on houses.
Level 2 Requirements: Trick or Treat at 50 Houses.
Level 3 Perk: Have a higher drop and find rate for Candies
Level 3 Requirements: Trick or Treat at 100 Houses.

Is The Class Worth Buying?

The Trick or Treater Class is pretty novel, and one of a kind due to its limited nature. However, its usefullness in the main game will crumble once Halloween is over. That said, 30 Candies isn’t that many, and this Class is a great investment piece if you want to earn more Candies quicker to buy the more expensive Halloween-themed items such as the tamed animal cosmetics, and furniture.

In short, yes if you want more Candies and are interested in playing the event and unlocking as many shop items as possible. No if you’re stictly interested in survivability and the meta.
