In today’s Disney Dreamlight Valley showcase stream, the Devs revealed a ton of exciting upcoming content, including a free new update and the next major expansion. The highlight of the showcase was the Disney Dreamlight Valley Wishblossom Ranch, a new upcoming DLC that confirms four new characters, rideable horses, biomes, a ranch system, new gameplay features, and more. The most exciting thing for fans is that it is releasing on November 19, 2025, just a month away.
Wishblossom Ranch Story Overview
During the Showcase Stream, the Devs gave an overview of the story of the upcoming Wishblossom Ranch. It is in the best interest of fans to know what to expect from the new DLC. The Wishblossom Ranch takes place in a new World, “Alpine Paradise”. Players will have a homestead in the heart of Alpine Paradise, where they will be able to build their custom Ranch and take care of the horses. Alpine Paradise seems to be a vibrant world where horses roam freely. It was once one of the coziest destinations in the Valley, but during the Forgetting, the new owner did not care much for the place.
As players step into the Alpine Paradise, they will have to get the ranch up and running again and uncover the cause of the catastrophe. Moreover, the players will not be alone in this new adventure. Players will meet four new characters throughout the Alpine Paradise who will help them make the ranch lively.
Another exciting news about this new DLC is that it does not come in parts, unlike the previous two DLCs. The launch of Wishblossom Ranch will include the complete story. Players will not have to wait for another part of the DLC to release to complete its story.
All Confirmed Characters for Wishblossom Ranch
Speaking of the new characters, there are four new characters and three new companions (horses) from Disney’s universes. The four main characters for the Wishblossom Ranch story are as follows.
Snow White from Disney’s Snow White
Tinker Bell from Disney’s Peter Pan
Cruella De Vil from Disney’s 101 Dalmatians
Tigger from Disney’s Winnie the Pooh
To find and meet with all of these new characters, players will have to explore the three unique biomes of Alpine Paradise. As they make progress in the story, they will get to unlock all of these characters.
In addition to these characters, the three main companions that players will unlock are as follows.
Maximus from Disney’s Tangled
Khan from Disney’s Mulan
Pegasus from Disney’s Hercules
New Rideable Horse (Mount) Feature and Special Abilities
The ranch is the new gameplay feature that will exclusively come with the Wishblossom Ranch DLC. As players improve and build their homestead in Alpine Paradise, they will get to house several horses. Throughout the journey, players will find the missing horses and take care of them at the ranch. They will get to pet, feed, and customize the horses to improve their friendship with them. Moreover, befriending the horse will unlock the mount feature. It will allow players to mount the horse, one at a time.
Mount Feature and Its Uses
The mount feature will have three horse speeds: walking, trotting, and galloping. It will allow players to traverse the Alpine Paradise and other worlds in a unique way. That is not all, the horses can help you with daily chores, like removing Night Thorns/Inkies/Dead Wishblossoms, mine gems, dig holes, plow the garden, and water the crops. Honestly, the ability to use the horse for daily chores will make the experience much more appealing and relaxing.
Special Abilities of Companions (Horses)
In addition to the base uses of horses, the special companions (horses) will have special abilities. Here are all the special abilities of the horse companions.
Maximus has the ability to perform a long jump, allowing him to leap across large gaps.
Khan has the ability to kick down wooden and steel doors.
Pegasus has the ability to glide, allowing him to ride wind tunnels around Wishblossom Ranch.
