Enter the Ruins

After selecting a character, a brief cutscene will play, and you will take control of your character. Go out the door on the right, and you will see a button. Shoot an arrow at the button to activate the bridge. Now, continue ahead to the right side, and you will enter the desert. Keep going to the right until you reach a ladder. Climb the ladder to enter the ruins.

Explore the Ruins

Continue to the right to come across a wall. Call Alone to the wall to make him break the wall using the wrench. Go ahead to see a carriage blocking the path ahead. Walk up the carriage and pull it with Alone. After opening the path, go ahead. Go up the wooden plank and jump ahead. Look to the left to see a hanging box. Use the bow and arrow to drop the box down.

Now, jump up on the box and go up the ladder. Go to the end to find another hanging box. Shoot an arrow at the rope to drop down the box. Jump on the box and then jump to the ledge ahead to go to the next room. Go along the wooden planks to squeeze through a gap in the wall.

Call Alone to the mechanism in the room to use the wrench on it. Go to the right side and call Alone to the door. In the next room, pull the chest on the floor block to keep the grill open. Jump through the window and climb the ladder.

Get the Key to the Locked Door

Upon reaching the higher floor, you will see a door with a lock. Go to the left side to find a couple of cogs and a handle. Interact with the handle to lower a box from above. Jump on the box and let Alone move the handle back to go up. Once you are on the higher level, go to the right and interact with the handle to lower the ladder. Let Alone come up and go to the left side. Interact with the wooden plank with Alone to break the plank.

Continue ahead to see a crow with a key. Shoot the crow with an arrow to make it drop the key. Pick up the key and go back down to the door. Use the key to open the door and reach the alleyway. Interact with the small door to enter a home. Here, you will encounter the Monster Baby for the first time.

Get Through the Town

Continue to the right side and open the door to reach the town. Keep going right, and you will notice a wind gust. Before you can use it, go further right to find a cabinet. Open the cabinet to get an Umbrella. It is a new tool that you can use to fly with the help of a wind gust or drop down from higher grounds without dying.

Now, go back to the wind gust and open the umbrella to go up. After reaching the top, use the zipline to reach the other side. Break the plank and go ahead to find a trap door. Jump on the trap door with Alone to break it and drop down. Here, you will encounter the Monster Baby. Run to the right and use the umbrella to go up. Call Alone to break the wall ahead. Go ahead and jump down while keeping the umbrella open.

Get Past the Monster Baby

Open the door ahead to encounter the Monster Baby again. Here, you and Alone need to stand on the floor block behind the second statue in the room. However, you need to be careful of the bright eye of the Monster Baby. Move up to the first statue from the pillar and wait for the light to go far. Now, move to the second statue and let Alone come up to the first statue. Again, wait for the light and then go to the second pillar and let Alone come up to the second statue. Wait for the light to go far and then come back to the second statue with Alone. It will trigger the floor to move down.

Get Through the Underworld

Squeeze through the wall on the right and go to the end of the room. Crouch down to fit in the hole and continue going right. Go through the alleyway to reach a small door. Open the door and go ahead to trigger a small fight with the flying enemies. Shoot the arrows at the flying enemies to knock them down.

Once the fight is over, go through the hole in the wall on the right. Jump on the box and go through the other hole. Now, you will enter a room with planks. Start climbing on the planks to make it back to the upper town.

Get Through the Town Again

Once you have made it back to the upper town, go to the room on the right. Use the umbrella to fly up and make your way to the other side. Push down the plank and go to the door. Push the door and run to the cover ahead. Wait for the Monster Baby to go. Go down the alleyway and make your way to the door. Squeeze through the door and let the Monster Baby take its toy. After that, jump into the hole on the floor and continue right.

Follow along the path to reach another door. Call Alone to break the door and continue ahead. Go to the right and open the small door to initiate a cutscene.

Get Past the Monster Baby and Ring the Bell

As the cutscene ends, Low and Alone will wake up. Go to the right and climb out of the window. Continue ahead to the next building and go down the staircase. Exit the building to encounter the baby once again. The baby will become hostile by seeing crows flying away due to your movement. Wait for the baby’s light to move away to make your way to the next cover spots. As you reach the last cover on the right, open the small trap door.

Now, you will enter a tower, where you will have to ring a bell. Pull out the box from underneath the staircase and climb up the staircase. Go up the staircase and call Alone to break the wall on the left side. Now, climb up the ladder to go inside the tower. Once up there, you need to ring the bell. Call Alone to the statue to make her break the face. Equip the bow and shoot the arrow at the rope to ring the bell. As the bell rings, the Monster Baby will come to the tower. Hide in the crate in the tower and let the Monster Baby leave.

Reach the Alley

Continue to the right and enter the next building. Call Alone to the mechanism to open the hatch. Go to the hatch and open the Umbrella to go up. Now, pull the lever to lower the staircase for Alone. Let Alone come up and go to the right side. Pull the plank and then jump down the boxes. Go through the window and open the umbrella to fly across to the other side. Continue ahead and pull the plank to reach the alley.

Go up the alley and turn right to enter a house. Here, you will get to use the boosting function for the first time. Jump up on the block and climb the ladder. Go to the right and pull the box back to let Alone jump on the rope. Now, push the box back to let Alone reach the other side. Once Alone opens the door, jump down and go through the door.

Get Past the Monster Baby (Final)

As you go ahead, you will encounter the Monster Baby for the last time. Jump behind the box in the middle and then shoot an arrow at the rope to drop the box. The Monster Baby will pick up the box, and as soon as it puts down the box, make a run for it and hide behind it. Now, safely continue to the right and jump through the window.

Open the small door in the next room, and the Monster Baby will start destroying the building. You need to sprint to the right to avoid getting crushed and jump at the end to reach the next building. Here, hide behind the baby’s toy and let it check around the building. As you see a box drop on the floor, leave the toy and hide behind the box.

Wait for the Monster Baby to leave and continue to the right. Go along the path to eventually reach a room with a deep drop. You need to jump down the hole and open the umbrella for a safe landing. Here, you will find a mirror. Interact with the mirror and push ahead to go inside it. This concludes the first chapter, Necropolis, in Little Nightmares 3.  The mirror will teleport you to a new place, initiating Chapter 2: Candy Factory.
