“I’ll help you. If you really want to leave him.” Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for The Asset, made by filmmaker Samanou Acheche Sahlstrøm and co-directed by Kasper Barfoed. Also known as The Legend in Danish. This fascinating modern crime thriller is set in Denmark, following agents trying to infiltrate a drug kingpin’s inner ring. They have eluded the grasp of the intelligence service for some time. An agent goes undercover to befriend a drug smuggler’s wife. The closer she gets to her target, the more complicated her mission becomes. Agent Tea befriends Ashley, the girlfriend of ringleader Miran. Witnessing Ashley’s stark reality of a woman under his management, Tea is torn between her mission and a desire to help her escape Miran’s control. The series stars Clara Dessau, Maria Cordsen, Afshin Firouzi, Soheil Bavi, & Nicolas Bro (who you might recognize from Riders of Justice), among others.
