How to Complete the Haunting of the Beast’s Castle Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
The Haunting of the Beast’s Castle quest begins automatically by reading the “My Friends at the Castle” letter from the Beast. However, it is necessary that players have unlocked the Beast and Belle before they can pursue the new series of Realm quests for Lumiere and Cogsworth.
Return to Beauty and the Beast Realm and Find Lumiere
After starting the quest, make your way to the Beauty and the Beast Realm. You can access it from the Dream Castle or fast travel to it. Once there, a brief cutscene will start. After the cutscene, continue straight through the hallway and go to the path on the left to reach the Library. Here, you will find Lumiere; speak to him.
Gather the Ingredients for Fireplace Fuel
Go to the hidden passage on the right and interact with the storage box beside the cooking station. Pick up all the ingredients inside the storage box. Now, interact with the cooking station and add Castle Canola to cook the Fireplace Fuel. Once done, go back to Lumiere and give him the Fireplace Fuel.
Catch the Flying Painting and Hang it Near the Grand Staircase
After speaking with Lumiere, a flying painting will appear in the library. Chase after the painting and interact as you get close to catch it. Now, go to the piano near the Grand Staircase at the start of the Realm. Here, you will see a sparkling spot on the wall. Interact with the spot to place the flying painting. After that, pick up the Enigmatic Box and the Domestic Manual Page 1 from the floor. Now, go back to the Library and speak with Lumiere about your findings.
Visit the Garden to do Some Cleanup
After speaking with Lumiere, follow him to the garden. Once there, you need to destroy the statues to make your way to the garden’s center. Use the Royal Pickaxe to break the statues and clear the way to the garden’s center. After reaching the garden’s center, you will find Cogsworth. Clear the stones and night thorns in the center, and speak with Cogsworth.
Upon freeing Cogsworth from the garden, go back to Lumiere and speak with him. Go through the dialogues, and the Haunting of the Beast’s Castle quest will conclude.
