Ruinous Oath Rod or the Luminescent Oath Rod?
There’s no doubt about the fact that the Ruinous Oath Rod is the best of the two. It has better stats overall, and its passive abilities are much more useful. The Luminescent Oath Rod is still a great option if you’re at level 500 and you have 1.5 million coins spare, but if you meet the requirements for the Ruinous Oath Rod already, I recommend going for that one.
Ruinous Oath Rod
To obtain the Ruinous Oath Rod, you need to reach level 1000, which is quite the feat. But that’s not all, as you also need to complete the Shiny Sparkling Bestiary page for Crimson Cavern. After meeting these requirements, you can purchase the fishing rod for 30 million in-game coins.

Passive Abilities
The first passive of the Ruinous Oath Rod requires you to get a Perfect Catch. After a Perfect Catch, the Progress Speed of the bar increases by 5% per second. However, each time the Progress Speed increases, the Control Bar reduces in size.
If you manage to get a Perfect Catch during this, the fish you catch is guaranteed to have the Mastered mutation, which increases the selling value of the fish by 16x. If you do not get a Perfect Catch during this, there’s a 25% chance of the fish getting a mutation, which increases the value by 9x.
The second passive causes the rod to slash at fish, but it is weaker than other rods that have a similar ability. But, to make up for this, the chance of a slash occurring increases by 8% per second.
Luminescent Oath Rod
To get the Luminescent Oath Rod, you must reach level 500 and complete the Bestiary page for the Luminescent Cavern location. Once you have met these requirements, you can purchase the fishing rod for 1.5 million in-game coins.
