A Bit About Badges
Badges award you with Diamonds, which are used to obtain classes, making them very desirable achievements in the game. The majority of them are easy to passively unlock simply through survival of the fittest when beginning a new campaign.
In short, they’re fun achievements that give the game more body and longevity, especially for completionists like myself.
What Is The Hardest Badge To Get in 99 Nights in the Forest?
With over 500 days survived in 99 Nights, it’s safe to say I’m capable of playing the game in its entirety. Yet, I don’t actually think the day 500 badge is the hardest to get. It takes the longest, but it absolutely isn’t the hardest. Instead, may I turn your attention to both the Teamwork and Durability Badge?
Teamwork
Teamwork requires a team of 5 players to survive 99 days together. Seems simple enough, but to reach 99 days, you’ve got to invest at LEAST 1 hour 30 (based on the Swiftness badge). That and 5 players are hard to manage. A lot can (and probably will) go wrong.
Player Deaths – Do you want to waste bandages and medkits to revive teammates, or hoard them for self-preservation? Being dead is boring, so players who reach their demise may leave the game.Players Leaving Abruptly – This isn’t as common if you play with friends, but if you join public lobbies, then there’s a high chance that teammates will leave long before reaching day 99.Not Enough People – Okay, so, joining public lobbies is unreliable, so why not rally up a team of friends? Good luck coordinating a time that works for you all to play and invest hours into the game.
Those reasons all contribute to why this badge is so hard to get. 5 players means more cultist spawns, more death, less food, and it is overall so chaotic. Good luck if you’re attempting this achievement.
Durability
Durability entails surviving 99 Nights without dying a single time. This one is entirely a me-problem, but I always seem to die to either lightning or bears. I feel like other players don’t have nearly as much trouble as I do, so I’m adding this as a tag-on at the end. Realistically, the Teamwork Badge is much harder to achieve.
