If you play with friends, it’s hard to coordinate the best time to begin, as the game takes a while and doesn’t save progress. So, How Long Does It Take To Complete 99 Nights in the Forest? Find out in this guide, including tips and tricks for survival.
Start surviving over on Roblox. Finding out more about the 99 Nights Map might help you and your team survive a little longer.
How Long Does It Take To Complete 99 Nights in the Forest
There’s no true answer to this, as 99 Nights creates a new custom map each playthrough, meaning no two attempts are the same. That said, we can gauge a time estimate based on in-game progression and how you organise your survivors.
For starters, the Swiftness badge awards players for surviving 99 days in under 90 minutes, so we know this is possible, and on the shorter end of the game’s playtime.
On the other side of the coin, 99 Nights allows players to exceed just those initial 99 Nights. By this, I mean, you can continue playing until you die, even after surviving all 99 Nights. The main objective is to rescue all 4 kids, but the game doesn’t have an end cut-scene showing you all safely leaving the forest.
Survival Tips and Tricks
Now we know that an average game spans from ~90 minutes to… as long as several hours, even days. It all depends on how long you want to survive, and if you can. So, how do you maximise your day counter quickly?
Campfire
I hugely recommend focusing on levelling up your Campfire to 6 (max) ASAP. This allows you to see the entire map, including late-game chests such as the Golden tier and better. Reaching level 6 and stocking up early-game makes the later game content much easier to handle.(You’ll also need a map to see this, which you craft via the bench)
Kids Rescue
Each time you rescue a kid, the game gets harder, but it rewards you with a counter multiplier. For example, the first kid applies a 2x multiplier, so for every 1 day you complete, you skip ahead by 1 day.Kid 1: x2 Multiplier (1 day = 2 days)Kid 2: x3 Multiplier (1 day = 3 days)Kid 3: x4 Multplier ( 1 day = 4 days)Kid 4: x5 Multiplier (1 day = 5 days)
Reinforcements
Building defences around your base makes tackling the cultists much easier, especially during the late game when they come in abundance and hit harder. Begin using saplings to create a barrier from day 1 to enclose your campfire quickly.
Organise
Keep your team focused! Communicate camp needs and split up the many tasks. I recommend letting your friends choose from the following jobs (several if applicable):
Gather WoodExploration for structures/chests/mobs (and gather scrap)Base reinforcements/craftingFood
Chests
Chests appear in the same location for all players on the map, and each player can open the same chest. Just because one player opens it, doesn’t mean it vanishes for the rest. Take turns opening to maximise loot!
Weapons and Armour
This follows on from Chests, but keep yourself well-equipped to survive longer.
