99 Nights in the Forest Fishing

To begin your fishing journey, you need to obtain the rod.

How To Obtain The Fishing Rod

There are a few ways to get your hands on this nifty piece of equipment.

Pelt Trader

The Pelt Trader is an NPC who visits the camp on certain days and asks for animal pelts. When he arrives, he will ask for a specific Pelt, and if you bring what he asks, you can choose an item. Sometimes, the fishing rod will be one of them.

Fishing Shack

The Fishing Shack is located near the camp, and is a large building with water near it. If you walk inside, you will see fishing rods hanging up, which you can take.

Fisherman Class

If you have the Fisherman Class, you will spawn with a Fishing Rod. You can get this class with 50 Diamonds.

Fishing and Upgrading

To fish, equip the rod from your hot bar and stand near water, and interact. A box will appear on the screen with a green bar inside and a moving line. When the moving line is inside the green box, hit enter. Keep doing this until you catch something.

Once you have a rod, you can upgrade it by fishing. When you fish, you earn XP, and tougher items to obtain give more XP. When the XP bar is full, you can upgrade it in the fishing shack.
